Sophos begins ‘End of Sale’ and ‘End of Life’ process for Cyberoam products
WHAT IS END OF LIFE?
HOW DOES IT IMPACT YOUR BUSINESS?
|Product Life Cycle Milestone Towards Its End|
|Life Cycle Milestone||Definition|
|End of Sale (EOS)||The final purchase date for new appliances and subscriptions.|
|Last Renewal Date||Last opportunity to extend subscriptions. No subscriptions can extend beyond the End of Life date.|
|End of life (EOL)||Date when support for the product ceases.|
|Migration Path||Migration path is the recommendation to replace a discontinued product with another one.|
As innovative new products arrive to market it makes sense to transition previous generation products. This End of Life (EoL) process begins with an End of Sales (EoS) announcement where the product is no longer available for purchase but is still supported. Usually, after a period of years, the product is officially EoL when it is no longer supported.
Leading security software and hardware company, Sophos, has announced that it will shortly begin the End of Sale (EoS) and End of Life (EoL) process for its Cyberoam products. This essentially means that products will cease being sold and eventually support for said products will also stop.
WHEN IS IT COMING?
